Faith

My Christian faith, and acceptance of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of my life is an area which has not been verbally communicated on a grand scale. It is none-the-less very much a part of who I am personally and professionally. As any sincere follower of Jesus Christ will attest to, faith is an integral part of day-to-day living, not something to be turned on and off at will. I have hoped therefore, that my chosen career path would bring glory to God through my actions, if not my words. If I don't do this with integrity, I would not be bringing glory to God, whom I have a responsibility to represent. I am still not all I should be, but, like the apostle Paul, "I press on towards the goal of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus." Philippians 3:12-14. God is alive and well.To learn about how He is working in the lives of other men today, click here. For a viewpoint of God and computers click here.

As a side note: One of the deciding factors that got me started in Smalltalk was a dedication by John Vlissides in Design Patterns to Dru, Ann and Matthew Joshua 24:15b "As for me and my household, we will serve the Lord" This verse was also a part of my marriage vows. When a critical point in my life was reached about which career path to take, Mr. Vlissides personal dedication note to his family had further-reaching implications than he could have imagined!
